Hurdle Cards

Get ready for a challenge when you encounter a hurdle card! These special cards introduce a new challenging way to play solitaire.

If you frequently struggle with hurdle cards, you can always bring your pet that has the Hurdle Exterminator ability. Just make sure to keep upgrading as that will help you win against more types of hurdle cards.

We also have a few different boosters that you can use to destroy a hurdle! There is a pre-game booster called the Super Discharger that will remove all hurdles right as you load into the level. There is also an in-game booster called the Discharger that will remove hurdles while playing. However, the Discharger will only remove one hurdle at a time.

Frozen/Ice hurdles

When you encounter a card that looks like it has been encased in ice, that frozen card is temporarily unable to be moved to a different card stack or to the base.

To remove the ice hurdle, stack the next card in the sequence on top of the frozen card.

For example, if you have a six of clubs, you can stack a five of hearts or a five of diamonds to break the ice. If the card that can break the ice has its own stack of cards below, you can move the full stack along with the card that removes the hurdle.

But you’ll need to be strategic because any stack of cards placed on the ice hurdle will be shuffled into the discard draw pile.

Another way is to clear out all the cards behind the ice trap with bombs. However, a bomb won’t defeat the hurdle itself! You will still need to break the ice using a card stack or a pet ability.

Bomb hurdles

Bomb hurdles are hurdles that will explode your board if they are allowed to detonate. Once a bomb hurdle has exploded, you will lose that hand of solitaire and will have to completely restart. This also includes having to use additional coins or a free play ticket to enter again.

All bomb card types are defused (disarmed) by (1) moving the bomb card to its proper base or (2) nullifying the countdown by playing the next card of the opposite suit on top. For example, if the bomb card is a 2 of diamonds, you can nullify the countdown by placing an Ace of spades or clubs on top.

There are two types of bomb hurdles that you can encounter in the game—time bombs and move bombs.

Time bombs are bomb hurdles that have a countdown timer. You will need to defuse the time bomb before the countdown timer gets to zero.

Move bombs are slightly different hurdles than the time bombs. You will need to defuse the move bomb in the specified number of moves shown on the bomb. There is no specific time limit for a move bomb which allows you a bit of breathing room to strategize.

Fireworks Blessing card

While some special cards add an extra challenge to your game, a blessing card will make the game just a bit easier.

The Fireworks Blessing is a card that, once triggered, will remove some cards from adjacent columns along with the card directly behind the Fireworks blessing.
